Wehrlein tops morning test as McLaren problems continue

Mercedes reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein came out on top in the penultimate post-season test session on Wednesday morning. Wehrlein set a lap time of 1:44.557 in the championship winning W05 Hybrid as he stepped into a Formula 1 car for the first time. The time was set right at the end of the session and took over half a second off of his previous best time of the morning. Max Verstappen had been the early pace setter in a fairly uneventful session with a 1:45.222, a massive improvement on his time from yesterday. As was the case yesterday, McLaren failed to set a lap time at all as they suffered yet more electrical problems with the Honda power unit. Other drivers making their Formula 1...
