Boullier questions legality of Red Bull ‘coded' messages to Ricciardo

+ McLaren’s racing director Eric Boullier has questioned Red Bull’s use of coded messages to Daniel Ricciardo during the Singapore Grand Prix. The FIA banned teams from providing driver performance related communications ahead of the race, with a lengthy list of prohibited messages provided to all 11 outfits up and down the grid. But, according to Boullier, Red Bull breached the new radio regulations when it told Ricciardo to “avoid the exit kerbs”, as the Australian, struggling from a battery problem, attempted to fend off Fernando Alonso for third late in the race. “I think it was coded,” said Boullier. “It is up to the FIA to investigate, so it is not for me to say...
