'F1 considers three-car teams'

F1 could agree to a new model of eight teams, each running three cars, within the next month, according to the sport's supremo, Bernie Ecclestone.The overhaul would almost certainly signal the death knell of backmarkers Caterham and Marussia, with the futures of Lotus and Sauber also in doubt due to their crippling financial woes.Speculation that the sport could embark on a seismic overhaul of its sporting structure is nothing new.
