Alonso calls for united Ferrari

Fernando Alonso has called for Ferrari to be “united” following upheaval at the team and rumours about his future. A report in the Italian press earlier this week claimed that Alonso was set to swap seats with Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull, with the rumour coming after chairman Luca di Montezemolo left Ferrari. Alonso said he had no further comments to make about his future but criticised the reasoning for the rumour as he feels it could unsettle the team. “I've been commenting about my future for 13 months now – since last August – so I have nothing new to say,” Alonso said. “Sometimes it's sad when it comes from Italy, or they create these rumours for some strange purpose...
