Sirotkin gets Sauber Friday drive in Russia

Sutton Images Enlarge Sergey Sirotkin will make his grand prix weekend debut during Friday practice in Russia next month. Sirotkin joined Sauber on a driver development deal last year, originally with the intention of racing this season. However, he has remained in Formula Renault 3.5 this year, in which he is currently fifth in the standings. On Tuesday Sirotkin tweeted to say he would drive the car on October 10 - the Friday of the Russian Grand Prix. He has completed one day of official testing in Bahrain earlier this year, but also tested a two-year old Sauber last year.
