Haas F1 begins preparations for 2016
Gene Haas has amended the name of his burgeoning Formula 1 team to Haas F1 as he begins preparations for its proposed 2016 F1 entry. The American outfit, which signalled its intentions to enter F1 last year and has spent the last few months getting itself into a position to forge ahead with its plans, took another step towards the future with the launch of a new website and a minor rebrand from Haas Formula to Haas F1. The team, which has experienced success in its native United States in both NASCAR and IndyCar, is set to remain based in the United States, though it has approached Italian constructor Dallara to build its chassis, with Ferrari set to offer an engine supply.
