Formula One 2014: The season so far – Part 1

Formula One was taking a massive step into a brave new world heading into the season-opening race in Australia. Wholesale rule changes and arguably the most sweeping regulation overhaul since the sport’s inception in the 1950s had added a welcome dose of unpredictability to the competition ahead of the season-opening race. Testing had given us some indications as to what the pecking order was likely to look like but the formbook was far from set in stone.
