Rosberg on pole, Hamilton at the back in Hungary

Nico Rosberg managed to clinch pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix on Saturday after his closest rival and teammate Lewis Hamilton’s challenge ended in the first leg of qualifying. The German, who has now out-qualified his teammate in six straight Grands Prix, claimed the top spot from the Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel in the closing stages of the final shoot out. Hamilton’s qualifying ended five minutes into the session when the rear of his Mercedes caught fire. He parked the car at the pit lane entry as he was trying to head back to the garage and jumped out, with marshals extinguishing the flames.
