Renault report from Hockenheim qualifying
Daniel Ricciardo best placed Renault powered driver
Three Renault-powered cars will start in the top ten for tomorrow’s German Grand Prix. Daniel Ricciardo was the highest classified Renault driver, putting his Infiniti Red Bull Racing into fifth overall ahead of team-mate Sebastian Vettel. Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat again had an impressive performance to capture eighth overall.
Q1: Qualifying started in extremely hot, sultry conditions with ambient temperatures in the mid 30s and track temperature a huge 57°C.
