Sauber unhappy over van der Garde shunt

Sauber has been faced with “additional work we didn't need” as a result of Giedo van der Garde's crash in testing at Silverstone. Van der Garde was on his final run of the test on Wednesday afternoon when he lost control exiting Copse and spun in to the barrier at high-speed. The car was heavily damaged – as was the barried which required repairing and brought the test to an early end – and head of track engineering Giampaolo Dall'Ara said it has made for a busy week for Sauber ahead of the German Grand Prix. “The race and the test at Silverstone have left their marks on the team,” Dall'Ara said. “On one side there are positive achievements in terms of overall progress, and...
