Perez pace hampered by Vergne collision

Sergio Perez says his chances of scoring points in the British Grand Prix were hurt by a collision with Jean-Eric Vergne on the opening lap of the race. Heading through Turn 1 on the first race start, Perez and Vergne collided with the Force India being tapped in to a half spin and dropping to the back of the field. While both drivers escaped punishment, Perez – who did not claim that Vergne was to blame for the incident – said the clash prevented him from displaying the car's true potential. “We can't really judge what our real pace was because the contact with Vergne at the start compromised our race,” Perez said. “We dropped down to last and from down there it was very...
