Ricciardo pleased alternative strategy paid off

– Daniel Ricciardo says he is pleased that an alternative strategic approach during the British Grand Prix paid dividends as he netted third place for Red Bull.Ricciardo started eighth on Option tyres but switched to Primes when the race was stopped after the first lap following Kimi Räikkönen's accident.Ricciardo was passed by several rivals during the first stint before moving back to the Options and regaining ground.He stayed out for the remainder of the race and hung on despite increasing pressure from Jenson Button."We chose to restart on the Prime," he said.
