Red Bull apologises to Ricciardo

Getty Images Enlarge Red Bull has apologised to Daniel Ricciardo at the British Grand Prix after its decision not to send him out for a second run in the final session of qualifying. After the first runs in Q3, Ricciardo was fourth fastest but Red Bull opted not to send him out for a second run on the assumption the track conditions had got worse. However, those that did venture out found up to four seconds of lap time in the final sector, which Ricciardo had not thought was possible.
