Silverstone Practice 2: Hamilton fastest despite problems

Lewis Hamilton on top at the end of day one at Silverstone British Grand Prix, Free Practice 2 – Friday, 4 July 2014 Lewis Hamilton ended day one on home soil fastest of all after topping the second free practice of the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone, but there were concerns on his side of the garage as technical issues curtailed his running during the 90 minute session. Hamilton's best time set during a qualifying simulation, but on the hour mark his Mercedes to a stop out on track and as a result missed out on valuable race simulation which was on his agenda before the stoppage.
