Rossi pleased with Canada first practice outing
Alexander Rossi has shared his thoughts on his first outing at the wheel of the 2014 Formula 1 car. The American replaced Kamui Kobayashi at Caterham for the first practice session of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend and said he was satisfied with how it went.
He was the slowest of the 22 runners but completed a total of 27 laps and managed to finish just a few tenths off Caterham's race driver Marcus Ericsson.
'Obviously you always want to go quicker than the other car,' he told media at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve after practice one. '[But] I think that for the first foray, 27 laps is alright.
