Grosjean scores points, Maldonado fails to start

It was a mixed Monaco Grand Prix for Lotus, after Romain Grosjean scored points and Pastor Maldonado failed to start the race. The Enstone-based outfit suffered a disappointing Saturday, with Grosjean and Maldonado both exiting qualifying in Q2 after setting the 14th and 15th fastest laps. Both drivers admitted after the session that the E22 was struggling in the low-speed corners, but said it was difficult to predict what would happen in the race. It was a disappointing start for Lotus, after Maldonado was left stranded on the grid on the formation lap.
