Chilton fastest on day one of Barcelona test

– Max Chilton shocked by setting the quickest time on Tuesday during day one of the post-Spanish Grand Prix test. Chilton had been well down the order until the late in the session when he set a 1:26.434 effort, putting him 0.227 seconds up the Lotus test and reserve driver, Charles Pic. It was a remarkable time considering his best effort in qualifying last weekend was over 3 seconds slower (1:29.586). In total the Englishman did 60 laps, even though there were a number of red flag periods and even though running was disrupted by rain this morning. More to follow...
