Technical Director Smith leaves Caterham

– Caterham has announced that it has parted ways with Technical Director Mark Smith with immediate effect. Smith, whose role will not be directly replaced moving forward, departs the Leafield-based squad amid a restructuring of its senior management as it attempts to create a more "streamlined and efficient" operation. John Iley, Jody Egginton and Gerry Hughes will now take responsibility for specific areas of the team's operational activities as part of a newly created Technical Committee, reporting directly to Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul.
