Caterham restructures as Mark Smith departs

Caterham F1 Team has announced that it has instigated a restructuring of its senior management team to create a more efficient management process following the departure of its Technical Director Mark Smith. A new Technical Committee has been formed to oversee all technical and operational aspects of the team’s activities on and off track. With Mark Smith leaving the company with immediate effect, John Iley, Jody Egginton and Gerry Hughes will now each take responsibility for specific areas of the team’s operational activities as the newly created Technical Committee, reporting directly to Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul.
