Drivers cleared over alleged infringements
– Kevin Magnussen, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel have all avoided penalties for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. Magnussen, who starts fourth, and Vettel, who is due to line up in 12th, allegedly failed to adhere to yellow flags after Kimi Räikkönen's Q2 crash, but having spoken to both drivers and representatives of McLaren and Red Bull, the stewards decided to take no further action over the matter. Alonso, meanwhile, was under investigation for an alleged block of Sauber rival Esteban Gutiérrez in the opening qualifying phase, but he has also been cleared. The Spaniard starts from fifth position.
