Hamilton quickest at halfway point in Bahrain

Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time at the halfway point of the first day of the second test in Bahrain. Hamilton's time of 1:39.153 was narrowly faster than that of McLaren's Kevin Magnussen. Nico Hulkenberg rounded out the top three in his Force India VJM07. Adrian Sutil has been the most productive driver so far with 44 laps, although he triggered a red flag when he spun under braking for the first corner. The other stoppage was caused by Fernando Alonso as smoke poured from his Ferrari F14 T moments after the session began. Ferrari quickly fixed the issue and sent the Spaniard back on his way.
