Pirelli extends Formula 1 tyre deal

Pirelli has confirmed that they will continue to be the sole tyre supplier to Formula 1 until the end of 2016 season. Pirelli has been the single tyre supplier to the sport since the start of 2011. In co-ordination with the new deal, amended testing regulations have been set out by the sport's governing body. 'One of the 12 days of official pre-season testing, as prescribed in the 2014 sporting regulations, will be dedicated exclusively to wet tyre testing,' read a statement. 2014's pre-season tests take place at Jerez, from January 28th to 31st, and in Bahrain, in February.
