McLaren and Mercedes confirm launch dates
McLaren and Mercedes have become the first two teams to officially confirm when their 2014 challengers will launch ahead of the new season. Whilst Lotus confirmed it won't be at the first test in Jerez, both McLaren and Mercedes will, after the pair confirmed they will launch in late-January. McLaren's launch will take place online on January 24th, where they will not only unveil the MP4-29, but their new title sponsor too. Mercedes meanwhile will launch on the morning of January 28th - the day of the first pre-season test. The majority are expected to be present in Jerez with their 2014 cars as they look to get a handle on the new V6 engines and aerodynamic regulations.
