Mercedes sign two Red Bull engineers
id="story_continues_1" itemprop="description"> Mercedes have signed two leading engineers from world champions Red Bull to boost their technical staff. Mark Ellis and Giles Wood will join Mercedes in June 2014. The departures are a blow to Red Bull, who now face two of chief technical officer Adrian Newey's main lieutenants leaving the team next season. New Mercedes engineers Mark Ellis (pictured above) has been Red Bull's chief engineer for vehicle dynamics since 2008. He was previously chief engineer at BAR Honda Giles Wood has been chief engineer of simulation/analysis since 2010. Prior to that he was head of simulation/analysis at Red Bull, who he joined in 2007...
