Schumacher taken to hospital after skiing accident

Seven times world champion Michael Schumacher has been taken to hospital following a skiing accident which left the German with a suspected head injury.
Schumacher was airlifted to hospital in Moutiers following an incident in the French resort of Meribel.
44-year-old Schumacher fell while skiing at around 11:00 local time and hit his head on a rock. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Gernignon Christophe Lecomte, director of the Meribel resort, told Radio Monte Carlo that 'he was shocked, a little shaken but conscious.'
'It may be a head injury but it is not very serious. He was wearing a helmet and banged against a rock.'
