Europe 1 has reported that Schumacher had been taken to Grenoble Hospital by helicopter with a head injury despite wearing a helmet, but in a conscious state.
The accident reportedly happened while the 44-year-old was skiing in the French resort of Meribel, in the popular Three Valleys ski area.
