French government honours Fernandes

– Tony Fernandes, Group CEO of AirAsia and Co-Chairman of Caterham Group, has been conferred with the Commander of the Legion d'Honneur award by the French government. Established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802, the award recognises outstanding service of individuals to France, with the Commander of the Legion d'Honneur being the highest ranking honour that the French government can hand a non-French citizen. The award was presented to Fernandes by Francois Hollande, President of France, at the Elysée Palace in Paris on Tuesday.
