Romain Grosjean: “Ultimately my lap wasn’t good enough”

Romain Grosjean has stated that his final lap during qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix simply wasn’t good enough, as the numerous drivers battled against the elements in their quest for pole position. Despite topping the second segment for Lotus, the Frenchman eventually qualified 6th for the race alongside Lewis Hamilton. After once again storming to a competitive podium finish last time out at the United States Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean entered the qualifying hour as a potential candidate for pole position with heavy and persistent rain once again battering Sao Paulo’s Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace.
