Valtteri Bottas overjoyed with maiden points finish at Austin
Valtteri Bottas has expressed great satisfaction after finally scoring his maiden points in Formula 1, after the Finnish rookie powered his way to 8th at the United States Grand Prix. The former GP3 Champion excelled from the start of the weekend, qualifying competitively and out-performing team-mate Pastor Maldonado along the way.
Throughout his maiden season in Formula 1, Valtteri Bottas has struggled behind the wheel of his Renault-powered Williams in what has been another highly uncompetitive season for the Grove-based outfit.
