Grand Prix Diary – India
The Indian Grand Prix was the one race I really, absolutely wanted to cover, but one race for which I didn’t have a guaranteed accreditation. In many respects, it was the perfect way to round off what had been an amazing half-season of covering Formula One, capping what had been an absolutely magical year.
For one thing, it was my home race, a concept still new to Indians as unlike most countries on the calendar which have played host to a Grand Prix for at least a decade, the 2013 race was only India’s third.
