Ferrari's race fears realised

A pragmatic Fernando Alonso admitted Ferrari's disappointing pace in the Korean GP simply confirmed what they feared might be the case as early as Friday, after the Spaniard could only manage a sixth-place finish. Any late-season hope that Alonso had of starting to claw his way back into realistic title contention was all-but mathematically extinguished in Yeongam on Sunday as Sebastian Vettel swept to his eighth win of 2013 to open up a 77-point championship lead.
