Button hopes McLaren closer to Lotus

McLaren driver Jenson Button believes there are signs that the Woking-based team has closed the gap to Lotus after the first day of practice for the Korean Grand Prix. Having narrowly made it into the top ten in the opening session, the Briton progressed to fifth as the afternoon action unravelled. And although Romain Grosjean was half a second faster, the E21 of Kimi Räikkönen held an advantage of just 17 thousandths.
