Horner: Webber informed me this morning

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner says he had little warning over Mark Webber's decision to leave Formula 1 at the end of the season, with the Australian keeping his plans private until shortly before an official announcement was made. On Thursday morning, it was confirmed that Webber, 36, would be joining German manufacturer Porsche from the beginning of its new LMP1 programme next year, thus bringing to an end a 12-season career in the top echelon of single seater racing.
