Drying circuit limits Williams potential

Williams drivers Pastor Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas conceded that a drying track limited their chances of qualifying higher up the grid in Monaco. Bottas set the fourteenth fastest time, two place ahead of team-mate Pastor Maldonado. 'We made the most of what we had and although the car is not where we want it to be, we feel we’re in a good position in terms of knowing the development direction to go,' said Bottas. 'The race will be difficult with some quick cars starting behind us, but I’m confident we can still push forward and gain some positions in tomorrow’s race.'
