Williams FW35 gets go ahead for Barcelona test

The new Williams FW35 has passed its final crash test, meaning it has been given the go-ahead to partake in the second pre-season test. The Grove outfit decided to delay the debut of its new car until the second test in Barcelona in order to concentrate on understanding the new Pirelli tyres with its 2012 car. Whilst technical director Mike Coughlan admitted their results were "compromised" because of the abrasive Jerez circuit, he believes the strategy of running the FW34 was a useful one.
