Carlos Sainz commits to Williams, completing 2027 driver line-up

Carlos Sainz will remain with the Williams F1 Team beyond the 2026 Formula 1 season after agreeing a new multi-year contract with the Grove-based British outfit. The Spaniard’s renewed commitment represents a major vote of confidence in Williams’ long-term project, despite the team facing a challenging 2026 campaign. Sainz joined Williams at the beginning of 2025 and has since established himself as a key figure in the team’s rebuilding process, both on and off the track.
