What to expect from the 2027 tweaks to the aerodynamic regulations?

Formula 1 will introduce a series of aerodynamic changes for the 2027 season in an effort to reduce the amount of downforce generated by the current-generation cars. The changes come alongside previously announced tweaks to the power unit regulations for 2027 and 2028, as the FIA looks to address the energy-management problems that have emerged during the first season of the new regulations. The 2026 regulations introduced an entirely new generation of power units, with the internal combustion engine and electrical systems moving towards an approximately 50-50 contribution to total power.
