McLaren complete two-day Portimão test following Hungarian Grand Prix
Fresh from Lando Norris' victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix, McLaren headed to Portugal for a two-day Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) programme at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, as the team wrapped up the first half of the 2026 Formula 1 season. The Woking-based squad fielded its 2023 challenger, the MCL60, with race drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri joined by reserve driver Leonardo Fornaroli in a busy test programme before Formula 1's mandatory summer shutdown. Norris completed 49 laps (225 km), while Piastri covered 55 laps (256 km) during the opening day.
