Coulthard says Formula 1’s 2026 era is a ‘disappointment’

David Coulthard has delivered a pointed verdict on Formula 1’s 2026 rules revolution, declaring that the new era has been “a bit of a disappointment” overall while insisting that the problems that have emerged were entirely predictable. The Australian Grand Prix back in March provided the first real-world test of the sport’s radical technical overhaul, and the results immediately sparked debate.
