What did we learn from Pirelli's post-Hungarian GP tyre test?
Following last Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix, Audi, Alpine and Aston Martin remained at the Hungaroring to assist Pirelli with a two-day dry-weather tyre development test focused on the 2027 Formula 1 compounds. Audi and Alpine participated on both Tuesday and Wednesday, fielding Gabriel Bortoleto and Franco Colapinto respectively. Aston Martin joined the programme only on Tuesday with reserve driver Jak Crawford before switching to its own filming day on Wednesday, during which the team evaluated Honda's upgraded 2026-specification power unit that is scheduled to make its Formula 1 debut at the Dutch Grand Prix after the summer break.
