Williams must wait until Saturday morning for an investigation into a potential breach of F1's technical regulations to be completed at the Chinese Grand Prix.

Following Sprint qualifying, the team was referred to the stewards by FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer for not providing video files of the front and rear-wing cameras monitoring flexing within an hour at the end of FP1 - as the rules dictate.

The alleged breaches are of Articles 3.2.2 and 3.15.16 of the technical regulations, with Alex Albon's ninth place and Carlos Sainz's 13th under threat.

The team must report to the stewards at 08:30am on Saturday 22nd March for the stewards hearing, this being 00:30am UK time.

As this is the first time such a breach has been investigated whilst the FIA monitors wing flexing, an immediate punishment was not initially known with possibilities ranging from No Further Action if Williams can prove force majeure, such as a WiFi failure, to disqualification from Sprint qualifying.
