F1 Today | Norris celebration continues, Magnussen close to ban

Lando Norris is still in the spotlight after winning the Miami Grand Prix. After all, you only win your first Grand Prix once. Moreover, Kevin Magnussen is close to a suspension, the start list for the 24h of Le Mans race was announced, and GPblog listed the possible destinations for Red Bull Racing sporting director Jonathan Wheatley.

Norris celebrations continue

2009 world champion Jenson Button was not short of praise for Lando Norris. He hopes Norris can stand on the top of the podium for the second time soon. "You still need the car to perform and get that result again. For me, it took three years [between the first and second win], hopefully, it won't take him that long to win his second race."

McLaren CEO Zak Brown was also emotional about Norris' victory, "He's been with us from day one. He's had so many second places, it's good to get this one done," the American commented. Magnussen nears Grand Prix ban

After holding up Lewis Hamilton and the rest of the grid during the sprint race to help Nico Hülkenberg secure a point and then crashing into Logan Sargeant during the race, Kevin Magnussen received five penalty points in Miami. The Dane now has 10 points in total, meaning that he is two away from a race ban. F1 analyst Jan Lammers also criticised Magnussen for 'not giving enough respect'.

Which team would be fitting for Jonathan Wheatley?

Jonathan Wheatley is considering his options for the future, as he could stay at Red Bull Racing or join another team as a team principal. Two teams could be in need of a team principal: Alpine and Stake F1 (soon to become Audi from 2026 onwards). Le Mans start list announced

The 24h of Le Mans race will take place on 15-16 June, but the start list has already been announced. Former F1 drivers, including Jenson Button, Nyck de Vries and Antonio Giovanazzi will take part in the famous French endurance race. You can see more of the drivers competing here.

However, one man who will not make his debut is Sebastian Vettel. After testing the Porsche car earlier this year, the four-time Formula One champion's name does not appear on the list.
