Hamilton indifferent about the W15: 'You can judge it by the results'

Lewis Hamilton finished the Miami Grand Prix in sixth place. The Briton managed to cross the finish line ahead of his teammate George Russell and was able to keep up with Sergio Perez, but he could not move up the order anymore. Hamilton talked about the closing stages of the race and where his current car stands at the moment.

After Mercedes seem to be the fourth best car on the grid behind the clear favourite Red Bull and their two chasers, Ferrari and McLaren, Hamilton believes the results prove that two. "I don't really see the importance of that. You've seen where we've qualified, you've seen where we've been for the last…, you've seen where we are in the championship, so you can make your assumption from that," the seven-time world champion commented on the 'power ranking' in the paddock.

However, the Briton was a bit more positive about the Grand Prix in Miami. "I had a good race today, yes. I didn't have the pace of the guys ahead of me, but I was able to hold on with DRS, but if it wasn't for the DRS, they probably would have, they did start to pull away towards the end," Hamilton explained.

"But still, to keep them in distance was a really great feeling. But also, I was on an opposite tyre. Not to Checo, though. So I was actually on the same tyre as him," the Briton concluded.
