Max Verstappen travels to Hungary this weekend with a comfortable 63-point lead in the final Grand Prix before the summer break. The Dutchman is unsure which team will be the favourites, but is positive about Red Bull Racing's form.

In 2021, Verstappen experienced another special weekend. He suffered extensive damage to his car at the start, which meant he had to leave the race with a battered car. Despite this, he managed to finish ninth and secure two points.

"Hungary is a special track," he told Red Bull's press release. "I really enjoy driving here as it’s a bit like driving on a go kart track, it has a very technical second sector which I like. It will be interesting to see how the weather impacts us across the weekend."

Verstappen is ready for summer break

This weekend he looks set to face stiff competition from Ferrari, who will be looking to make amends for their disappointing weekend in France. Partly because of the new cars, Verstappen finds it hard to predict which stable will have the edge.

"It’s difficult to say how I think we will perform this weekend, it’s not our strongest track but of course, I want a good result and we will try everything we can to win it as a Team. I’m looking forward to the summer break and hopefully the Team can get time to recover so we can make a strong start to the second half of the season."
