Red Bull Racing intends to grow further in Formula 1 in the coming years. A possible cooperation with Porsche would fit well with that ambition, but for the time being Helmut Marko does not want to say much about contacts with the company.

Because of the new engine rules in 2026, which among other things should ensure that costs can be controlled, Volkswagen has decided that it would like to come to Formula 1. Porsche is reportedly one of the brands that wants to step forward and partner with a top team.

Marko does not want to comment on Porsche rumours

Red Bull seems to fit in well with this plan. According to rumours the first talks have already taken place and an agreement will come together in just a matter of time. However, Marko, speaking to F1-Insider.com after the British Grand Prix, doesn't want to say much about it and states that he still doesn't know anything about Volkswagen's plans.

"I've only heard that the Volkswagen board has decided to enter Formula 1 if the new regulations are approved," the Austrian told F1-Insider.com. "Certain criteria have to be met and they have not been approved by the World Council. That is why there is a delay."
