Norris sets benchmark on Day 1 in Bahrain

F1 Grand Prix, GP Qatar, Losail International Circuit McLaren driver Lando Norris ended up quickest on the opening day of F1 pre-season testing in Bahrain, narrowly beating George Russell, reigning champion Max Verstappen and Ferrari racer Charles Leclerc. The McLaren driver posted a time 0.157s quicker than Mercedes’ George Russell, while reigning world champion Max Verstappen was a couple of tenths adrift in third for Red Bull.
