Leclerc warns of 'cold challenge' for Ferrari in Las Vegas

12/11/2024 at 17:3912/11/2024 at 18:49 Charles Leclerc is cautiously optimistic about Ferrari's prospects for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, but warns that the Scuderia’s progress in tyre management might be a double-edged sword in next week's event. After struggling in 2023 with chronic tyre degradation, the Italian outfit has made significant strides this season to strengthen the durability of its tyres, and therefore its race pace and consistency. While Ferrari enjoyed a productive weekend in Las Vegas a year ago, with Leclerc and Carlos Sainz locking out the front row in qualifying, the low temperatures in force that weekend greatly mitigated the...
