FIA intervenes to stop DRS 'cat and mouse' game at Jeddah
Article To news overview © XPBimages The FIA has made a key adjustment to the DRS detection zone at Turn 27 of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, aimed at stopping the 'cat and mouse' games played by drivers. In the two races that have taken place at the track, the detection zone for the third DRS zone was between Turns 26 and 27. This prompted drivers to often brake earlier into Turn 27, so they could hit the DRS detection zone before the car in front and use it to get past onto the start/finish straight. Now the FIA has intervened to stop drivers from potentially braking in an unsafe manner into the corner, by shortening the DRS zone by 27m and moving the detection zone to just after the apex...
