Hamilton: My worst fears came alive in Abu Dhabi last year
Lewis Hamilton reflected once again on the trauma he endured at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and how he turned down a role in Tom Cruise's 'Top Gun' movie; in an interview with Vanity Fair. Lewis Hamilton says he had to turn down an offer to feature as a fighter pilot in Tom Cruise's hit movie 'Top Gun: Maverick' because of his Formula 1 commitments. The seven-time World Champion told Vanity Fair he had been desperate for a part. 'Basically I’m a friend of Tom Cruise,' the 37-year-old Mercedes driver said.
