Aston Martin reveal ‘many other problems' have prevented Vettel contract talks

Aston Martin team principal Mike Krack does not need an answer right away from Sebastian Vettel as to the possible extension of his contract beyond this year. Krack has previously made no secret of the fact that he is keen to retain the German, who joined the British side last year having left Ferrari after six years with the Scuderia. Vettel won 14 races with Ferrari between 2015 and 2020 after taking 48 victories with Red Bull, claiming four world titles between 2010 and 2013. The now 34-year-old claimed his maiden victory during the wet weekend in Monza for Toro Rosso in 2008, and his perennial class and excellence throughout his career has made him one of the legends of F1.
